For the benefit of the few and brave not Facing their Books
Dec. 20th, 2007 | 06:09 am
This post is for you, you brave people who live without fear of having your personal information becoming part of the massive data hive mind that in the year 2015 will most certainly eventually will gain sentience and destroy us all, just like the movie with the Governator and John Doggett from those finely regarded last few seasons of X-Files....
Emily has an aversion to the combination of metal and jewelery so we thought it would much more meaningful if instead of getting her something expensive that she'll never really enjoy, instead getting her a new iPod Touch - with "Emily MacKenzie's Engagement Ring" engraved on the back.
More details to be reveal as they occur. And much more likely to occur on Facebook. But don't fret, I hear deleting your Facebook account is the new Facebook. ;-)

I, for one, welcome our new data-mining overlords. I can be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground server farm caves.

I <3 my Emily.

And I still love cats and Shrodinger related jokes.

That pretty much sums it up. :)

And to all the LJers who WoW - I'm now playing on Hellscream. It appears you get bumped to the back of the queue when you're on the trial though :(
*Edit*

TSN's prognosticating primate is predicting the Stanley Cup will be heading to Canada.
Maggie The Monkey spun her NHL playoff wheel Sunday night and picked the underdog Edmonton Oilers to beat the Carolina Hurricanes in this year's Stanley Cup finals. That would make the Oilers the first Canadian-based team to win the title since the Montreal Canadiens in 1993. Maggie is 9-5 in playoff predictions this year, successfully picking Edmonton and Carolina to win their respective conference finals. In 2003, she predicted the Anaheim Mighty Ducks would qualify for the Stanley Cup final by beating favored Detroit, Dallas and Minnesota. | ![]() |
It's June in Edmonton, which means dealing with 30 degrees outside and 40 degrees working in my un-windowed un-airconditioned recirclulated-dusty-router-air server room :(
But it's all worth it cause I'm still wearing my Oilers jersey!
Two more weeks and four more wins and we'll be partying like it's 1990!
My prediction - Oilers in 6

PS. Anyone else using Last.fm?
Used to be called Audioscrobbler - it's a plugin that tracks the mp3s played on on iTunes or WMP or WinAmp or whatever your choice in players is. Somewhat curious about some of your musical tastes. :)
